Victorious Japanese at the ISU Grand Prix of

Miyagi (AP) - Japanese skaters have celebrated a double victory at the Grand Prix in Miyagi / Sendai. The 17-year-old Yuzuru Hanyu won the competition before Mr. Vice-world champion Daisuke Takahashi and continued his meteoric rise.
Ex-world champion Mao Asada saved himself with a bit of luck in front of goal to Akiko Suzuki. All four Japanese qualified for the Grand Prix Final in December in Sochi.
Hanyu showed a quadruple toe loop and six triple jumps, but also crashed when Lutz and a pirouette. It was enough though with 261.03 points and ten points ahead of Takahashi to victory. Third was like last year at the NHK Trophy of the German-born American Ross Miner.
Asada showed several jumps only twice and was only thanks to their lead from the short program with 185.27 points to 185.22 before the World Cup third-Suzuki. Mirai Nagasu (USA) finished third.
In ice dancing to Meryl Davis / Charlie White secured (USA) the expected clear victory against Elena Ilinych / Nikita Katsalapow from Russia and the siblings Maia and Alex Shibutani (USA). German are in the hard-hit tsunami in March 2011 Miyagi province not at the start.
